Curious Refuge - Teaching Assistant

As a Curious Refuge Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll help the next generation of AI filmmakers master cutting-edge tools and creative workflows. Your primary responsibility is to provide expert feedback on student assignments and share actionable tips that elevate their projects. You’ll also engage with students in our Discord community—answering questions, guiding discussions, and fostering a vibrant learning environment.

Responsibilities

•
Review and provide detailed, constructive feedback on student assignments.

•
Offer advanced tips on AI filmmaking workflows, from pre-production to post-production.

•
Actively participate in Discord Q&A channels to support students and spark creative problem-solving.

•
Collaborate with the Curious Refuge team to maintain a high standard of student support.

•
Willing to conduct periodic "Office Hours", helping students with their questions in group Zoom calls.

Requirements

•
**Deep expertise in AI creative tools and workflows**—for example, generative image/video tools, AI-driven editing, or similar production pipelines.

•
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to give clear, actionable feedback.

•
Strong organizational and time-management skills in a remote environment.

•
Must be based in the U.S. or able to work during U.S. time zones.

**Highly Valued**

•
Background in filmmaking, video production, or advertising principles that informs storytelling and audience engagement.

•
ComfyUI knowledge (enough to help other troubleshoot)

Contract Details

•
Part-time: Approximately 5 hours per week.

•
Hourly pay, distributed twice a month.

•
Flexible remote schedule.
