Job Description
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our engineering team, drive innovation, and ensure the seamless execution of cutting-edge AI projects. As CTO, you will be at the helm of our technical operations, directly reporting to the CEO and collaborating closely with clients to deliver bespoke AI solutions of the highest quality.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, ambitious, and thrives in a high-performing, fast-paced environment. You should have the drive, hustle, and strategic vision to lead both technical execution and business growth, with a passion for AI and GenAI.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
AI & GenAI Expertise: Drive the development and implementation of AI and GenAI solutions, ensuring the company stays at the forefront of AI innovation.
DevOps & Scalability: Oversee infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security, and cloud deployments to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Hiring & Recruitment: Build a top-tier team of engineers, identifying and attracting high-performing talent.
Business & Client Engagement: Participate in sales calls and client meetings, translating technical capabilities into business value.
Project Oversight: Ensure AI solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard of quality.
Strategy & Vision: Define the company’s technical roadmap in alignment with business objectives and growth goals.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the technical liaison between the engineering team, clients, and executive leadership.
Innovation & Futureproofing: Stay ahead of emerging AI/GenAI trends, driving research and integrating new technologies into Morningside AI’s offerings.
What we're looking for
We are seeking a driven, results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and has:
- Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or a similar leadership role in a tech startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical expertise in AI, GenAI, machine learning, and full-stack engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, Flask, AWS, PostgreSQL, and front-end frameworks like React and Next.js
- Experience leading DevOps teams, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring scalability.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Hiring & recruiting experience, with a focus on assembling elite engineering talent.
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), SCRUM, Agile methodologies, and project management best practices.
- Business acumen, with the ability to align technical initiatives with organizational objectives and revenue growth.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
