AI Video Artists

Description: We are an established Toronto-based film and TV company with a vertical reels internal team seeking talented AI Video Artists to help create short vertical micro-dramas: Episodic 1-3 minute videos designed for mobile viewing. You will work closely with our creative director and lead AI artist to turn scripts, reference frames and possible reference video into engaging video episodes. The content features realistic human characters with surreal twists, so technical AI skills and creative storytelling are required.

Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

- Generate ~60-180 second vertical videos based on provided scripts, voice samples, and reference images. It is possible we may also provide a fully-performed reference video. Use any AI tools to create final visuals, including voice (or animation that matches supplied voice) and music.
- Maintain character and environment consistency across shots with minimal glitches or visual artifacts.
- Incorporate surreal and creative visual elements as required by the story (e.g. human-to-mermaid transformations, fantasy or VFX-style scenes) while keeping a coherent narrative.
- Deliver the final video as polished and platform-ready in vertical format (9:16).
- Collaborate with our team: take feedback from the creative director/lead AI artist to refine scenes or adjust style as needed.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in AI-generated image or video creation.
- A strong creative eye for storytelling, able to interpret a script and craft compelling visuals and scene transitions that enhance the drama.
- Technical skills in prompt engineering, model fine-tuning to achieve consistent characters and high-quality output.
- Portfolio/Reel showcasing your AI art or video projects. (Especially interested in any short-form videos or animations you’ve created with generative tools. Vertical format examples are a bonus.)
- Ability to deliver on deadlines and iterate quickly.
- Communication: Comfortable working remotely, responding to feedback, and possibly brainstorming with the writing team for visual ideas. The language of correspondence is English.
- Platforms: Our micro-dramas will be published on vertical video apps and social platforms. While direct experience with platforms like ReelShort, DramaBox isn’t required, familiarity with the style and pacing of vertical short-form content is required.

Compensation: Paid per project/episode. Our starting fee is $100USD per finished 1-minute episode (episodes range from 1-3 minutes). Rates are adjustable as we establish an ongoing working relationship. Consistent, high-quality work will lead to steady, repeat projects as we have a very large pipeline of scripts ready to produce.
